Glass Clubs
Glass clubs run biweekly on a Tuesday and Wednesday morning and monthly on a Saturday, from 10am to 1pm.
If you have enjoyed making items of fused glass before and have caught the bug, glass club could be for you. The fee includes space and tools to create, supplies of different types of glass to purchase, storage space for your glass and equipment session to session and hot drinks while you work. Unlike other art clubs/programmes I do not ask for a commitment to block bookings, it is currently a drop-in session.
Glass club is not a taught session – the expectation is that you have an idea of what you would like to create and have researched it. Everyone has a different level of experience and we all share our knowledge to help each other. We only have space for 6 people so it is a small group.
There are books in the studio you are free to use and many online resources to help you.
Cost per session £25 which includes refreshments but not kiln firing charges. Kiln firing charges depend on the amount of space taken up in the kiln and the type of firing requested.

Sewing club
Sewing club runs every Friday from 1pm-4pm and is a drop-in session. Bring a project and a sewing machine if required and the very talented Wendy Turner will guide you. I met Wendy at the Farnham Maltings on a ‘Recreate your favourite garment’ course where I learned how to make a pattern, cut out and sew my favourite blouse in a new fabric. Other members of the group have been altering clothes, making patchwork bags and other projects.
Cost £15 includes tea and coffee as we go along.
